Hannover Re has been present in the Austrian market for approximately forty years, and during this period we have systematically expanded our portfolio and the number of our customers. We endeavour to offer our clients, the insurance industry in Austria and brokers, professional quoting services and tailor-made solutions for their reinsurance requirements.

Our financial strength and its resulting good security allow us to offer ample capacity. We are quite prepared to lead treaties and do so with sizeable shares. It is not our target to increase our market share aggressively, but we are committed to align the quality standards of our portfolio with the requirements of our risk based capital models. This means that we carefully analyse risks, in the interest of both our customers and ourselves. The most efficient support you can expect from us in the field of non-proportional solutions. However, we are open for proportional solutions, if you prefer this traditional way of risk transfer, provided that our actuarial models allow us to fix adequate terms and conditions.
