Hannover Re has been writing Property and Casualty treaty business in France for more than thirty years, and during this time has been able to develop one of the major books of reinsurance business in the French market.
Thanks to our French speaking teams in Hannover and in Paris, we do not only work with the major direct writing companies, but also with local mutuals, thus showing our commitment to cooperate with the full range of market participants.
Our goal is to offer our clients, insurance companies, mutuals, as well as brokers, ad hoc solutions meeting their needs and requirements perfectly and satisfying our mutual interests.
We are present in all classes, and we are well equipped and prepared to offer quoting and leading services. Our financial strength allows us to provide first class capacity and security. In order to achieve the necessary return on equity, we do not aim at growing our market share aggressively, but rather develop a quality book of business based on our state of the art risk based capital models. In Personal Accident business we are by far the leading reinsurer in the market, thanks to the expertise and experience accumulated in our Branch in Paris.
In Belgium, our market share is still relatively smaller than in France. We feel, however, that market conditions are becoming increasingly healthy. Rates have generally reached a level which we consider to be adequate to our standards, and we are well prepared to open our doors and offer our support more freely. Our team is also looking forward to rendering our best service and support to our clients in Luxembourg.
